This handsome Weller Souevo urn/vase stands 5.5" high by 6" in diameter, with a 3.75" opening at the rim. It has a bulbous form with a nice collar. This vessel is decorated in a classic Native American style decoration, with an incised motif of Native American symbols. It is unmarked, as are most pieces in this line. It is noted as shape number 18 in the references of an old catalog page, and guaranteed to be vintage Weller Pottery c1907-1910. This early Weller pot is in very good condition, without restoration. It does show signs of handling marks from more than 100 years of use. The interior is glazed in a gloss finish, the exterior has a flat mat finish. The colors and markings on this urn/vase are wonderful. It makes a great Arts & Crafts presentation, and serves as a nice tribute to our Native American population's legacy in clay.
