This unusual and pretty scarce Weller Roma doorstop stands a respectable 9.25" high by 8" across by 4" wide. It has a weighted form, filled with composition to serve as intended. It weighs in at 7 pounds. This Arts & Crafts style doorstop presents as an ivory-colored basket with a mixed group of fruits, including grapes, apples and lemons, perhaps pears, and interspersed with sweet blossoms, very pretty. It is glazed in Weller's signature Roma glazes in creamy white with nice accent colors, finished in a nice satin mat. This doorstop is well marked, and guaranteed to be vintage Weller from the 1920s. This doorstop is in excellent condition considering its ripe old age of more than 100+ years. There are some superficial edge chips, one under the side edge, hidden from view, a small surface chip on the lower edge, a factory glaze pop on the lower front edge and a small sliver edge chip on the side lower edge, all shown in the photos. There is a factory glazed-over chip in the brown handle, but these are expected wear for a 100-year-old 'doorstop'. This rather large and heavy doorstop, in matt colors, makes a wonderful Arts & Crafts presentation!
