This Weller Muskota flower frog stands 6.5" high by 5" in diameter. It depicts two little boys or cherubs on a grassy sculptured ledge, one is standing, holding a drape and the other is kneeling and peering over the edge as if gazing into a pond. The platform has numerous holes for placing flowers, and is intended to serve as a flower frog in a bowl. The boys/cherubs have blonde curls and are glazed in a ground of creamy ivory, with complementary 'woodsy' green over the grassy ledge. They are essentially unmarked, except for the initials 'C.W.K.' in grease pencil under the base. We guarantee this flower frog to be vintage Weller from the early 1920s. This ornamental cherubs flower frog is in well used factory condition, with the usual glaze nuances, including glaze skips, clay stress separations and crazing lines on the platform. These charming cherubic little boys will make you smile!
