This impressively large Weller Dickens Ware, 1st Line jardiniere stands a monumental 11" high by 15" across the rim, with an inner rim diameter of 13" and the base measures 7.5" across end to end. It has a classic jardiniere form, simple, but BIG.  It is glazed in awesome deep standard glaze colors and decorated with Orange blossoms, which are exceptially hand-painted in slip by one of Weller's great floral painters; Elizabeth Ayers and initialed by Ayers 'EA' on the side of the artwork on the frontside. We also considered Eugene Roberts who was also a great floral artist at the Weller Pottery, but the initials look more like EA, rather than ER. This vessel is well marked on the base with an impressed half circle stamp for Dickens Ware, 1st Line. This beauty is in original condition with a couple of superficial marks and scratches, but no chips, cracks or other blemishes. There is some underglaze brown drip on the interior, which appears to be glaze. This is a superb large Weller form in a gorgeous deep standard glaze, you'll love it!
