This Weller Bonito vase stands 6" high by 7.5" across the handles by 5" wide. It has a lovely pillow vase form with upswept handles at its sides. This Bonito vase was handpainted with stylized blossoms, and initialed by Frank DeDonatis. Weller Bonito, introduced c1932, at the height of the Depression, is one of the last hand painted lines by the Weller Company before they started mass producing. This vase is glazed in a creamy white ground, with a handpainted decoration in very pleasing, complementary colors. This vase is well marked on its base in Weller's incised script under its original paper label for Bonito Ware, and DeDonatis's initials. It is in original factory condition, with generalized factory crazing.
