This lovely early Japanesque vase by WC & Co. measures a tall 14.25" high by 4" square. It has a very pleasing full-bodied squarish and footed porcelain form. This vase is decorated in a wonderful Art Nouveau Asian style depicting cranes and insects covering the ivory porcelain body, each panel with a different scene, and glazed in a brilliant cobalt blue decoration with white touches and lots of gilt trim, enriching its presentation immensely. The WC & Co. could be a porcelain maker in England named Chamberlain & Co from Worcester or perhaps Wood-Challinor & Co. from Tunstall. Both companies were operating in the 1850-90s. This vessel is well marked with the impressed letters 'WC & CO.' under the base. This beauty is in original condition, with just some wear to the gilt trim at the rim from handling over the past 100+ years. This heavily gilt-trimmed scenic vase makes an awesome Japanesque presentation!  Shipping cost will be determined by your zip code because of its large size. If questions, please ask.
