This Van Briggle vase measures just over 6" high by 3" in diameter. This vase is relief decorated with trefoil blossoms and long stylized and flowing leaves, eminating at the foot to the rim, a handsome Arts & Crafts design. It is glazed in a very rich Mountain Crag glaze, brown to a faint green blush over the trefoils and leaves. This vase is well marked with the cojoined AA's, along with VAN BRIGGLE in capital letters, followed by COLO. SPGS. in caps indicating a production period from the late 1920s to the early 1930s. It is in original factory condition, with some glaze nuances, including glaze pops and pinholes, one on a trefoil and a couple of pops at the rim, all shown in the photos. It has a very organic feel, in hand. This richly glazed Van Briggle vessel, with a handsome early motif makes an awesome Arts & Crafts presentation.
