This Van Briggle pitcher stands 5.25" high by 6.5" across the handle by 5.5" in diameter. It has a squat form, rather large for a pitcher, with a strap handle at its side and a heart-shaped opening at the rim, a nice touch. It is glazed in Van Briggle's Mulberry and deep blue overflow blushed glaze, a very nice glaze combination! This pitcher is well marked on its base with the cojoined AAs and Van Briggle, Colo. Spgs., so it dates to the late 1930s-40s. It is in original condition, no apologies. This vessel is a very handsome example Van Briggle Pottery, you will not be disappointed!
