This handsome Van Briggle vase stands 10.5" high by 5" in diameter at the rim and 3.5" at the base. It has a pleasing form with a very nice design by Anne Gregory Van Briggle from 1911, shape 868. It is decorated with stylized flowers and leaves. It is glazed in Van Briggle's Mulberry and deep blue overflow blushed glaze, a very nice glaze combination! This vase is well marked on its base with the cojoined AAs and Van Briggle in lower case, so it dates to the 1930s. It is in original condition, no apologies. This vessel is a very handsome example Van Briggle Pottery, you will not be disappointed!
