This Mid-Century Modern endearing gem was produced by the Thyssen Keramic Studio in Danmark c1960. It measures 2.5" square by 1/2" thick. It depicts an owl in relief, quite handsome in his presentation. He is glazed in a nice sable brown gloss glaze, which thins at the high points adding nicely to his dimensions. He is well marked on the backside with an impressed block stamp that reads 'Thyssen Keramic Danmark'. There is a factory slot for hanging this tile on a wall. It is in near original condition with a couple of minute glaze edge nicks, which can be seen in the photos and are of no consequence, but mentioned for accuracy. This little 'wise' guy makes big impression, he's a hoot!
