This handsome earthenware studio pottery bowl stands 3.5" high by 7" in diameter. It has a hand-turned form, like a fruit bowl, with high sides. It is glazed in an organic oyster-colored glaze, which is speckled and spotted, a very fluid glaze. The potter signed this vessel on the underside and dated it 1926, but we cannot tell what the signature reads. It looks like Pacific in one aspect, and then the first letter could be an 'E' or a 'Z', not sure. This bowl is in original studio condition, a little out of round, which adds to its charm, and some glaze nuances that are common in studio pots. This handsome pot is nearly 100 years old!
