This original Stangl 'Archie' Stoby Mug stands 6.5" high by 6" across by 4.5" in diameter. It has a mug form fashioned with the face of a man named 'Archie', who bears a handle bar mustache, made by the Stangl Pottery. He wears a top hat, which serves as an ashtray. It is glazed in a mix of colors and finished to a mirror gloss glaze. It is well marked on both pieces with its shape number 1681, and what looks to be an ink stamp with the Fulper racetrack mark on the base, which is smudged or blurred, but guaranteed to be an original Stoby mug by Stangl. Stangl produced several different Stoby Mugs, of varying themes. This mug is in factory mint condition, no apologies. He makes a very handsome and fun presentation.
