This Roseville Victorian Art vase stands a respectable 10" high by 9.5" in diameter. It has a wonderfully swollen ball form, swelling to the shoulders, with a rolled rim. It is adorned with an Arts & Crafts stylized band of moths, some say they are flowers, you decide. The design is absolutely gorgeous and presents in a rather blushed and drippy presentation on this vase. It is glazed in a rich, gray matte glaze, with a violet hue, and beautifully complementary colors in the stylized design band. This ball vase is unmarked, but it is guaranteed to be vintage Roseville. It is in excellent condition, with a factory kiln kiss on the side of the vase, and some extra clay under the base as can be seen in the photos. A kiln kiss happens when two vessels are too close in the kiln, often fusing the glaze on one vase to the other. In this case, the moth/blossom lost some of its glaze color to the other pot. This vessel has a very good color restoration to the kiln kiss, and is well shown in the photos. The restoration disguises the kiln kiss so it is far less noticable. The Victorian Arts line is one of the more elusive lines in Roseville pottery, and this form is one of the large ones that stands out very handsomely. It makes a big and bold Arts & Crafts presentation! Shipping will be based upon your zip code because of its large size. If questions please ask.
