Can you say 'Pretty in Pink'? This scarce and interesting Roseville Mock Orange basket stands a tall 10" high by 10.5" across by 6"wide. It has a large, yet elegant tri-footed form, with an arcing handle. This basket is adorned with beautiful blossoms, hugging the rim, in a creamy white, which 'mock' orange blossoms, hence the name. The blossoms are flanked with rich green leaves on each side, and embossed branch-like vines beneath the blossom sprays that fade into the body of the basket, a creative design line near the end of Roseville Pottery's reign. It is glazed in a ground of lush shaded pink, blushing to a deeper pink around the blossom design and the three feet, simply a stunning presentation. This basket is marked, albeit faintly, 'Roseville, U.S.A., 910-10, and guaranteed to be vintage Roseville from c1950. Roseville Pottery was sold soon after the production of this line, and while some refer to 'Connecticut Roseville Mock Orange', this basket was produced in Zanesville, Ohio. It is in original condition, with no-harm generalized factory crazing. This scarce Roseville basket makes a fabulous Mid-century Modern presentation.
