This Rookwood Production vase stands a tall 10.5" high by 5" in diameter, 2.5" at the rim, and 3.5" at the base diameter. It has a very pleasing shouldered form, with what appear to be sketchy Bell-like blossoms and leaves in a carved motif. This vase was designed by Charles Stewart Todd in 1920. Todd was also a decorator at the Rookwood Pottery for many years. The vase is glazed in a simple, yet striking yellow mat, which thins at the high points, accentuating the design most handsomely. This vase is well marked and it is dated 1921, shape number 2488. This vase is in factory original condition, no apologies. If you collect Rookwood Pottery, this is a very handsome pot.
