This Rookwood Standard Glaze handled vase stands 6.5" high by 4" in diameter, 1.5" at the rim. It has a shapely and classic form, a vase with one side handle. William Watts Taylor designed this form shape 657D. It was decorated by Miss Carrie Steinle, who spent her career decorating at Rookwood from1886-1935. She decorated this vessel with Daisy blossoms and leaves with exacting precision. The glaze colors are gorgeous in shaded deep chocolate brown over a honey golden amber and complementary colors in the decoration. This beauty is well marked with 9 flames forthe date 1895, along with its shape number 657, designation 'D'. Steinle's initials CS are noted on the base, along with the Rookwood logo. This beautiful vessel is in original factory condition, with a couple of minute surface handling marks. The shadows in the photos are from camera glare, the glaze finish is very uniform.  This handled vase makes a beautiful presentation!
