This Rookwood Production vase stands 6" high by 3" in diameter by 2.5" at the base edge. It has a pleasing form, with an incised band, which presents Seahorses in relief. This vessel was designed by E.T. Hurley, who was also a decorator at the Rookwood Pottery. The vase is glazed in a simple yellow ochre mat glaze, which thins at the high points, accentuating the design most handsomely. It has a wonderfully masculine feel to it. This vase is well marked and it is dated 1920, shape number 2124. This vessel is in factory original condition, no apologies. If you collect Rookwood Pottery, this is a very handsome pot.
