This Rookwood ashtray stands .75" high by 4.25" long by 2.75" wide. It has a handsome, very functional rectangular form, with a central square-like raised design, and corner wells for cigarettes. The central raised square may have been intended to rest a pipe. It has a simple Mid-century Modern presentation, like many of the ashtrays made in the day. It is glazed in a nice rich brown glaze, finished to a glossy sheen. It is well marked on the base with the Rookwood logo, along with its shape number 7079A, and dated 1956. It is in original factory condition, no apologies.
