This Rookwood Production bulb bowl stands a mere 1.5" high by 6" in diameter. It has a classic bowl form, with button tabbed feet. This vessel is glazed in a simple organic deep rose mat glaze. This bowl is well marked and it is dated 1916, a nice early Rookwood Production pot, shape number 1878, a simple Arts & Crafts form designed by the legendary Kataro Shirayamadani, who spent his career at Rookwood Pottery, both as a designer and a decorator. This handsome vessel is in original condition, no apologies.
