This Rookwood Production bulb bowl stands a mere 3" high by a whooping 11.5" in diameter. It has a large, yet classic bulb bowl form, with button tabbed feet. It is embossed around the outer rim with a very nice Arts & Crafts blossom and leaf motif. It is glazed in a simple organic green over shaded rose mat glaze. This bowl is well marked and it is dated 1915, a nice early Rookwood Production vessel, shape number 2223, a simple Arts & Crafts form designed by 'ST', whose initials do not align with the designer list in Peck's book on Rookwood Pottery, so it shall remain a mystery. This handsome bulb bowl is in original condition, with some factory glaze nuances, which likely count for the 'X' on the underside. There are also some handling marks from more than 100+ years of handling.
