This handsome Rookwood tile measures 1/2" thick by 3.75" in diameter. It has an interesting polygon form. This tile has a handsome design in a relief presentation with a 'Potter at the Wheel'. The Rookwook 'RP' logo is noted in raised relief at four points on the face of the tile. It is glazed in a handsome aqua green mat glaze and finished to a satin mat sheen. This tile is well-marked on the back side, 'POTTER AT THE WHEEL, ROOKWOOD, CINCINNATI, OHIO'. This tile was first produced in 1935, the date of this tile, and was presumably an advertising piece for the Rookwood Pottery. This tile is in original condition, no apologies.
