This Rookwood potpourri jar stands 3.5" high by 3.25" in diameter. It has a pleasing ball form by Rookwood's designer Rubin Earl Menzel. This jar should have an outer decorated lid, which is missing. There is a small inner lid, which can be lifted to allow the scents to escape. It is glazed in a soft green over yellow blushed mat glaze. This jar is well marked and it is dated 1918, along with its shape number 1321E and a sideways 'P' for porcelain body. It is signed by Elizabeth Lincoln with her cipher 'LNL'. It is in original condition, with the usual glaze nuances, including a tiny glaze drop on the lid, and of course, no outer lid.
