This Rookwood early Production Crucible Pitcher stands 4.5" high by 5" across the handle by 3.5" in diameter. It has a triangular form, with a Greek Key banded design. This vessel was designed by Pitts Harrison Burt in 1886. It is glazed in an organic rose mat glaze that thins at the high points, accenting the form and design beautifully. This pitcher is well marked and it is dated 1904, shape number 259E. This vessel is in factory original condition, with an 'X' for a kiln kiss on the handle and thin glaze skips at the rim.
