This Rookwood Decorated Mat vase stands a demure 4.5" high by 3.5" in diameter, and 2" at the rim. It has a simple form, narrowing slightly at the rim. It is decorated from tip to toe with sketchy red blossoms and spiraling green leaves. This vase was decorated by Charles Stewart Todd, whose tenure at the Rookwood Pottery was from 1910-1922. It is glazed in a simple, yet striking yellow mat ground with very complementary flowing colors in the decoration. This vase is well marked and it is dated 1921, shape number 2105. It is in factory original condition, with the usual glaze nuances, including a couple of pinhole at the rim, but no apologies. This small vessel presents quite handsomely.
