This lidded stoneware gourd measures 7.5" high by 4.5" in diameter.  Rae Marie Crisel is a contemporary potter from Vero Beach, Florida, and very active in the arts community.  She is originally from Indiana, and discovered clay after a successful career.  This lidded pot presents as a pumpkin or gourd, with a naturally beautiful vine and leaf  domed lid.  It is glazed on the interior, but is wonderfully organic in its exterior presentation, like a piece of stoneware.  It has an earthy feel to it, and it is glazed in natural colors, and finished to a flat matte on the exterior.  It is marked with her first name 'RAE' on the base.  It is in studio mint condition, no apologies.  The lid sits atop the base, no inner rim, so we would recommend a sticky tab to hold it in place, particularly if you have furry friends.  This is a very handsome and organic vessel.
