This Pisgah Forest vase stands a monumental 12.5" high by 6" in diameter, 4" at the rim and 4.5" at the base. It has a classic full-bodied form, with an awesome presence. It is glazed in a wonderful Pisgah Forest signature red Adventurine crystalline glaze, with splotchy crystals in the glaze. The color is more red than it appears in the photos, a spectacular glaze, for sure. This vase is marked with the Potter at the Wheel mark, dated 1934. It has a pencil mark RS2, along with its original price of 4.50 in pencil.This vessel is in studio original condition, with just some minute grinding flacks at the base edge from factory grinding of thick glaze, but no apologies. This vessel has it all, size, glaze and condition, you will not be disappointed.
