This Owens Utopian standard glaze vase stands a statuesque 8.5" high by 4.5" across the handles by 2.75" in diameter at the base. It has a beautiful form, very pleasing to the eye, with exaggerated handles at its sides. This vessel is decorated with a beautiful firey orangy-red Carnation blossom, with vivid green leaves in thick slip, simply beautiful in its presentation. The artwork is done with superb precision, and it appears to be signed with a 'D' on the backside, but we do not know who the artist might be, sorry. This beauty is glazed in Owens signature standard glaze colors, dominated in a gorgeous orangy-red hue. It is well marked 'Utopian' and 'Owens', shape 884, and guaranteed to be vintage Owens Utopian, whose shape is well documented on the Owens' references. It is in factory original condition, no apologies. This vessel is a jewel in its presentation!
