This Metlox Pottery Poppet comes from the 1970s, designed by ceramic artist Helen Slater. She stands 8" high by 4" across by 4" in diameter. This figural depicts a 'Queen', and she is holding a pot, so I have deemed her the 'Queen of Pots'. She features a hole on the top of her crown, which serves as a vase, as well as an opening in the flower vase she is holding. Helen Slater designed about eighty-eight charming and whimsical figures for the Metlox Poppytrail Division of the California company. This particular figurine is one of the more rare of the Slater characters. She is essentially unmarked, but well documented as an original Metlox Poppytrail Poppet called the 'Queen'. She is in original condition, no apologies.
