This Made in Japan Peacock wallpocket measures 6" high by 5.5" across by 4" deep.  It depicts a Peacock in bright vivid hues.  It is decorated in Bankoware-style, very much the colors of MIJ products referred to as 'Bankoware', a type of Japanese stoneware from the 1930s-40s.  It is marked Made in Japan on the backside.  This wallpocket is in very good condition, with an interior rim chip above the hanger hole as shown in the photos, along with the usual glaze nuances of MIJ products.  The chip does not show when hanging.
