This Italian carved sgrafitto vase stands 9.25" high by 4" in diameter at its widest and 3.5" at the rim. It has a handsome form with a flared rim. Best of all, it is deeply carved with a series of patterned rows of vertical lines in sgrafitto styling. The remainder of the body of the vessel has more superficial sgrafitto carving, and it is covered in brightly-colored glaze. This mid-century vase is unmarked on the base, except for some obvious scratchy lettering, which is illegible. It is in near original studio condition, with the usual glaze nuances of hand made pots, and edge abrasions, which do not detract in the least. This is a very handsome MCM Italian pot.
