This very nice Hampshire Pottery candlestick stands 5.5" high by 5" in diameter at the base, and 2.5" at the candle cup. It has a handsome form with a broad base and a loop handle at its side. This vessel is glazed in Hampshire's signature organic matte blue with a blue-gray wash, which is very fluid in its presentation. It is marked 'Hampshire', along with its shape number '82' on the base. There is an 'M' in a circle, which is Designer Cadmon Robertson's 'M' cipher added to pots, in tribute to his wife, Emoretta who was the sales manager at the company's storefront. This vessel is in original factory condition, with the usual glaze nuances, including a no harm pinhole at the top of the candle cup. This candlestick has wonderful glaze qualities and character, and it makes a very wholesome Arts & Crafts presentation.
