This Glass Eye Studio paperweight measures 3" high by 2" in diameter, and weighs 9 oz. It has a wonderfully rounded egg form and it is adorned with a busy, yet pretty swirling spiral thread design, over a clear weight with very nice color accents, and finished in a satin iridized purple hue. This paperweight is signed GES and dated 92, for 1992. It is in excellent condition, no apologies. 
For more than 30 years, Glass Eye Studio has designed and created exquisite handmade glass.  Robert Adamson founded the nationally known art glass company, Glass Eye Studio in 1978, and continued to direct Glass Eye Studio design until 2000.  Glass Eye Studio pieces are hand made by skilled artisans at the Seattle studio. Glass colors are from Germany, New Zealand and some from China. The colors are manipulated in the Seattle studio to produce cane, murrini and stringers. These cane and murrini pieces are used to create wonderful and beautiful handmade glass paperweights.  Glass Eye Studio creates some of America's finest art glass, including ash from Mount St. Helens in some of their pieces.
