This Fulper Violet Tray measures a mere 1.5" high by 4" in diameter, and 2.75" at the rim opening. It has a classic low bowl form, with a clean ridge line, in a simple Arts & Crafts presentation. This unusual 'Violet Tray' is glazed in a nice stormy gray/blue glaze, which thins at the high points allowing the clay peek through under an amber haze. It is in original factory condition with a thin skip in the glaze on the side of the bowl, which can be seen in the photos. This bowl is well marked with the rectangular racetrack ink stamp, dating to c1909-1916, and is shape #068. We originally thought this form to be a potpourri base, but an authority on Fulper has identified it as a Violet Tray, so we are delighted to say that it is a nice early design, intended as a one-piece tray. Shipping will be $8.
