This very handsome Fulper cider pitcher stands 10.75" high by 8" across the handle by 4.75" in diameter at the rim. The mugs (2) measure 3.5" high by 5" across the handle by 3" in diameter at the rim. This set has a handsome styling with buttressed lines eminating at the base and rising to near the rims, a very nice Arts & Crafts in design. This set is noted to be #85 Cider Set, which featured 6 mugs in the original set. This picher set is glazed in a rich, lush purple and blue striated glaze, which is finished in a satin matte sheen. It is marked with the Fulper racetrack squarish ink stamp, dating it to circa 1909-1917. It is in near original condition, with the usual glaze nuances common to Fulper pots, and a single glaze chip at the tip of the spout, which was colored over years ago, and is of no consequence. This early Cider Set makes a great Arts & Crafts presentation.
