This lovely pyrography plaque measures 7" high by 9" across by 1/4" thick.  It was likely produced by the Flemish Art Company in New York at the turn of the last century.  It carved with an image of four very sweet puppies in a woven basket, all framed within a scrolled border, a nice accent.  The original patina is a beautiful brown. This plaque does not bear the Flemish mark, but was likely produced by them.  It is in original condition, with its original metal hanger at the top, as shown in the photos, and just normal handling wear from many years of use.  This vintage plaque makes a very sweet Arts & Crafts presentation.
