This very unusual early standard glaze candlestick stands 7" high by 8" across the handles by 3.75" in diameter at the candlecup rim. It has a wild candlestick form, akin to a vase, with three pretzels handles balancing it. It is simply decorated with sweet Pansy blossoms between each of sections where the pretzels align, in gorgeous reddish brown and yellow ochre hues, which presents as if they were floating on the surface of a rich standard glaze, which is a deep, rich reddish brown, just beautiful. It is not signed by an artist to our eye, but it is marked '127' on the base, which is presumably a shape number. This beauty is in original condition, no apologies. If you appreciate nice standard glazes, this candlestick makes a statement, and it gets the prize for the most unusual candlestick in our experience. We've had this for years trying to determine its maker, scouring all the references, but no luck...what say you?
