This Crown Ducal plate by Charlotte Rhead measures 1" thick by 10" in diameter.  It is dated 1937, and it was made to represent the celebration of Edward VIII's Coronation. He abdicated the throne, so he never served as king.  He later married American Socialite Walliss Simpson who was twice divorced, and he remained married to her until his death 35 years later.  This plate is well marked.  It is in original condition, with some glaze crazing.
