This American Art Clay Company (AMACO, Indianapolis, IN, c1930s) pottery vase stands 5" high by 5.5" across the handles by 5" in diameter. It has a full-bodied form with sloped inverted bud handles, which connect the body of the vessel to the rim. It is decorated with sprigs of berries, perhaps leaves eminating at the rim, a nice accent. This vase is glazed in a pale wheat striated glaze, peppered in flecks of brown with micro-crystals, very organic in presentation and finished in a satin mat. This Art Deco vase is well marked on the base with the AMACO ink stamp and the number '4'. It is in original condition with the usual glaze nuances, but no apologies.
