This Moorcroft wall charger measures 1.75" high by 14" in diameter. It has a classic wall charger form with factory placed holes for hanging. It is adorned with a gorgeous design by Rachel Bishop in the year 1994, entitled 'Golden Lily'. Bishop became Moorcroft's fourth designer in 100 years in 1993 at the age of 24. Her degree is in ceramic design, and as a disciple of William Morris, she was the chief designer of Moorcroft's 'William Morris' design lines to celebrate Morris's centenary in 1996. The 'Golden Lily' design line was one of the designs Bishop produced, along with several others. This charger is adorned with copious blossoms and leaves in a bouquet of colors, in typical Moorcroft tube-lined style. The ground color is in Moorcroft's signature cobalt blue, with a rainbow of complementary colors in the decoration, it's stunning! This charger is finished to a high gloss. It has the usual Moorcroft hallmarks on the backside, including WM for William Moorcroft, Made in England, it bears the initials of the tube-liner or colorist 'sp' for Sue Pointon, and a bell symbol to identify the year the pottery charger was made, 1991. It is in original condition, no apologies. This wall charger, in a lovely celebratory tribute to William Morris, makes a fabulous presentation!
