This Moorcroft original lamp measures 12" high (Pottery portion 8.5") by 7" in diameter. It has a large ball form on a lacquer base. It is adorned with a gorgeous design by Rachel Bishop  in the year 1995, entitled 'Lamia'. Bishop became Moorcroft's fourth designer in 100 years in 1993 at the age of 24. Her degree is in ceramic design, and as a disciple of William Morris, she was the chief designer of Moorcroft's 'William Morris' design lines to celebrate Morris's centenary in 1996. The 'Lamia' design line was one of the designs Bishop produced, along with several others. This lamp is adorned with blossoms and leaves in a bouquet of yellow blossoms tinged in red, in typical Moorcroft tube-lined style. The ground color is in Moorcroft's signature ivory, with complementary colors in the decoration, it's beautiful! This lamp is finished to a high gloss. It likely has the usual Moorcroft hallmarks on the base, but we did not take it apart. We guarantee it to be vintage original Moorcroft Pottery from 1995.  It is in original condition, no apologies. This lamp, in a lovely celebratory tribute to William Morris, makes a fabulous presentation!
