This impressive studio pottery vessel stands 7.5" high by 4" in diameter. It has a simple, yet very striking form, with a distinct hip and a tapered rim measuring 2.25" in diameter. It is a good solid pot in hand, with an awesome glaze, which is very organic in matte green, and presents with a silky smooth surface. The character of the glaze shows fine veining and a depth of color that is beautiful. This pot is unmarked, made of red clay, and could be hand-thrown, with evidence of some ribbing on the interior. It is reminiscent of the quality of Arequipa or California Faience. This vessel is in studio original condition, no apologies. If you have been waiting for a nice American studio pot in a killer matte green glaze, here's your chance!
