This lovely set of Sarreguemines bookends stand 9" high by 6.5" across by 7.25" long. They were made in France and date to c1920-1940. Given their Art Deco styling, they were likely designed in the period leading up to 1930 and the rise of the Art Deco movement in France. They depict female nudes in a graceful poise. They are glazed in a porcelain white glaze and finished in a gloss sheen. They are marked 'Sarreguemines, France' on their bases, a mark consistent with the dates noted above. This beautiful bookend set is in original condition, no apologies. If you like objects that are pure Art Deco in design, this set of female nude bookends are exceptional!
