This Sèvres French porcelain lamp stands 26.5" overall, with the porcelain measuring 12" high by 5" in diameter. It was designed by Paul Jean Millet, son of Felix Optatus Millet. Felix Optataus Millet began his career as a modeler for Sèvres in 1862 and opened his own ceramics factory in 1866. His son Paul apprenticed in the Manufacture Royale de Porcelaine de Sèvres
before joining his father’s small business shortly before the turn of the century. He ran his father's company until 1931. This early 20th century lamp is glazed in a saturated mottled blue/green flambé glaze. It is marked Sèvres, along with Paul Millet's initials 'PM', and Made in France. This original lamp is in working original condition. It is as made at the factory, no apologies, all original, without blemishes or repairs. This lamp has stunning color!
