This very scarce Royal Hickman lamp stands a monumental 28.5" high, with the pottery section measuring 16" high by 15" across by 5" wide. This lamp depicts two horses fighting, both rearing, each trying to be the dominant one in the battle. They are on a pottery base, glazed in black, which is all one piece, the horses are attached to the black stepped platform base. This is an original lamp, with its original hardware, and it remains in working order. The metal stem has a knob for adjusting the height of the harp to accommodate any shade. These horses are glazed in a Hickman signature oyster and gray mottled glaze, used in several of Hickman's designs over the years. This lamp does not bear any marks, the base is covered in felt, and any paper labels are long since gone, but we believe this lamp is from Hickman's Florida clay series. This lamp is really a spectacle, beautiful in every way. There is an old, but good restoration to the hole at the top, likely from stress on the harp or hardware. It has double sockets, a good old working lamp. Shipping will be based upon your zip code. If questions, please ask.
