This Rookwood Standard Glaze vase stands 5.75" high by 2.75" in diameter, 1.5" at the rim. It has a simple, yet classic form with a rolled rim. It was decorated by Miss Leona Vera Van Briggle, whose tenure at Rookwood was 1899-1904. She was Artus Van Briggle's sister. She decorated this vessel with what appear to be Sunflower blossoms in exacting precision. The glaze colors are gorgeous in shaded honey golden amber and deep, rich chocolate brown, with expertly executed artwork under a veil of glaze, simply beautiful. This beauty is well marked and dated 1903. Van Briggle's initials/cipher are noted on the base, along with the Rookwood logo and shape number 922E. This beautiful vessel is in original factory condition. The shadows in the photos are from camera glare, the glaze finish is very uniform.  This vase makes a beautiful presentation!
