This Rookwood spoon rest/ashtray/pipe rest stands .75" high by 3.5" long by 2.25" wide. It has a simple, very functional form, designed by William T. Glass. Best of all, this little bauble is glazed in a nice aqua ground, with a speckled green over glaze, laced with touches of mossy green near the top edges, all finished to a satin mat. It is well marked on the base with the Rookwood logo, along with its shape number 7183, and dated 1961. The Rookwood references call this shape an ashtray, but it clearly could be a suitable spoon/pipe rest. It is in original factory condition, no apologies.
