This Rookwood Production vase stands 4.5" high by 4.25" in diameter for the body, 3.5" in diameter at thr rim. It has a handsome form, with leaves eminating at the base and cloaking the rim, interspersed with berries. This vessel was designed by Kataro Shiriyamadani, one of Rookwood's most accomplished artists of the Arts & Crafts period. It is glazed in an organic green over reddish-brown mat glazes that thin at the high points, accenting the form and design beautifully. It has a wonderfully masculine feel to it. This vase is well marked and it is dated 1913, shape number 1681. This handsome vessel is in original condition, no apologies.
