This Rookwood Decorated Mat vase stands 8.75" high by 2.5" square at the footed base, and 1.5" square at the rim. It has a beautifully tapered and footed square form, a design by Ruben Earl Menzel. This beauty is decorated with round, trailing blossoms and leaves by one of Rookwood's prized female artists, Miss Elizabeth Lincoln, who chose a rich palette of colors in a deep shaded red and plum blush, with wonderfully complementary colors in the decoration, an absolute stunner. This vase is well marked, dated 1923 in Roman Numerals, shape 2015, and initialed by Elizabeth Lincoln on the base 'L.N.L.'. This handsome vessel, which begs to be touched, is in factory original condition, no apologies, it's gorgeous!
