This very statuesque vessel stands a monimental 14.5" high by 5" in diameter at the rim and base, perfectly proportioned. It was designed by John D. Wareham who spent his career at the Rookwood Pottery. It is embossed with Calla Lilies and leaves. It is glazed in a very pleasing rose mat glaze. This vessel is shape number 2010, and it is dated 1922, along with the standard Rookwood cipher on the base. It is faintly marked 'Rookwood' on the upper side in pencil, which is a factory notation. It is very faint, but there. This vase is in original factory condition.
