This Rookwood Wax Primrose Glaze Line porcelain bowl stands a mere 1.5" high by 5.25" in diameter, a simple low finger bowl form. It has a very nice glossy pale yellow exterior with a turquoise interior. It is shape number 2261E and it was designed by John D. Wareham, one of Rookwood's prominent artists and designers who spent his career at the Rookwood Pottery from 1893-1954. This vessel is dated 1916, and bears its Rookwood cipher on the base, along with its shape number and a sideways 'P' mark indicating a porcelain body below the date code. It is in original condition, no apologies.
